GUEST LECTURE Prof. Natalia Solano-Meza, “Contaminated Forms: Agricultural landscapes, infrastructural forms, and the architecture of the United Fruit Company in Costa Rica”
This Friday, March 10th, at 11h30, prof. Natalia Solano-Meza who currently is a guest researcher at the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning will give a guest lecture in the context of the History and Theory of non-European Architecture and Urbanism course
In this lecture prof. Natalia Solano-Meza will talk about her ongoing research The United Fruit Company Spaces in the Caribbean Region of Costa Rica between 1890 and 1930: Railroad Infrastructure, Agricultural Enclaves and Architectural Forms, an interdisciplinary project informed by notions of pollution, toxicity, and environmental degradation focused on the architecture produced by the United Fruit Company (see: https://solanomeza.com/ ).
