20-01-2024

EDCTP3 Partnership

The European and Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCTP) focuses on the major infectious disease threats facing sub-Saharan Africa, including HIV, TB, malaria, neglected infectious diseases, emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases and antimicrobial resistance.

The Global Health EDCTP3 programme is dedicated to addressing all stages of clinical evaluation, with the aim of delivering innovative solutions to reduce the burden of infectious diseases in sub-Saharan Africa. This initiative not only focuses on strengthening research capacities within the region but also aims to enhance preparedness and response to re-emerging infectious diseases globally. Additionally, the EDCTP funds activities to build research capacity in Africa, providing crucial support for researchers' careers and contributing to the reinforcement of national health research systems.
