On September 24 we will meet for the second activity in the Short Training Programme:
“Narratives and Objects in a Museal Oral Ecolit-Lab: Ecological Sustainability in East-African Literary Scholarship and UGent Curricula”,
kindly funded by VLIR-UOS Global Minds Fund.
As a second guest we will welcome Dr. Kimingichi Wabende from the University of Nairobi. On Tuesday 24th of September in the FACULTY ROOM (1st floor Blandijn) Kimingichi Wabende will offer a
public lecture '‘Humans, spirits and nature: Performing Kayamba healing rituals, forests and coastal ecology in Kenya’ (10:00-11:15) after which he will moderate a
LAB working towards an exhibition (11:15-12:00).
The PUBLIC LECTURE is open to all staff and students. The LAB is tailored to PhD-students, but can also be attended by anyone interested. We look forward to seeing you during (one of) these activities.
